About Me
Dr. Susan Ruth Freedman has a PhD in Clinical Sexology, a Masters in Mental Health Counseling, a Bachelors in Psychology, and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor registered with the Florida Department of Health, #MH16953.
Susan is a Board Certified Clinical Sexologist, a Certified Masters level Hypnotherapist and a trained EMDR clinician and Trauma Specialist. She also is a Gottman, EFT and IFS trained Psychotherapist.
As a Solution Focused therapist she works with clients to see the opportunities not their issues.
Through collaboration with her clients she assists them in goal setting and problem solving.
She has experience in working with individuals and couples in the area of Sex Therapy, Sexual Intimacy and Dysfunction, Affair/Infidelity Recovery, Hypnotherapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Trauma Therapy, Childhood Sexual Abuse, Sex Addictions, Depression and Anxiety.
She also has extensive experience in working with the LGBTQ community.
Dr. Freedman also offers Business Coaching for small and family owned business. She ran a very successful family business in Tampa for over 20 years. Susan also has experience in working young adults as well as the elderly in the area of social and general anxiety, depression, and helping them build self-esteem.
Susan is deeply passionate about helping clients work through trauma, find peace and lead happy and fulfilling lives. She works with couples to help them deepen their emotional connection, develop open communication and improve their sexual intimacy.
